The release month has probably been determined
The Verge also states that the release period for “Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War” has been determined. You shouldn't expect a big surprise here. Instead, the magazine reports that the next offshoot of the popular shooter series, like various predecessors, will appear sometime in October.
It was already leaked in February that the new “Call of Duty” would indeed be released in October 2024. At the time, Inverse reported, citing anonymous sources, that Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer confirmed the release date in an internal meeting.

At the same time, Spencer is said to have once again underlined the importance of the series and described the next “Call of Duty” as probably the most important title of 2024.
The Gulf War and a more open game world?
Even if official details about “Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War” are still awaited, we can in principle assume that our path this time will lead to the turmoil of the Gulf War in the early 1990s. The information about the setting has been confirmed in the past by various insiders who are considered reliable sources.
