Years after it was announced, Fallout 4 is finally getting its big next gen update. But what will that actually change? Will the update noticeably modernize the almost nine-year-old title? And what else has actually changed about Bethesda's open-world role-playing game since Michael Graf's original test in 2015?

To answer these questions for you, test the role-playing game on the PC. But we also want to know something from you!

When will the test appear?

Since Bethesda hasn't announced a release time yet, we don't know whether we'll be able to play the update this morning or late in the evening. How quickly you can read our test depends primarily on it. You will find our assessment of the next-gen version on GameStar.de at the beginning of next week at the latest.

What do you want to know?

Some time ago the developers roughly explained what was actually in the next gen update. Among other things, ultrawide monitors should be better supported. There will also be some bug fixes and stability improvements. Last but not least, the update also includes some new content in the form of free mods that you could previously purchase in the Creation Club.

Now you are asked: What innovations are you most interested in? Are you excited about the free content, are you hoping for technical improvements or do you prefer to play on your 32:9 monitor? Is there perhaps something that has been stopping you from playing that could disappear in the next-gen version? And do you have any specific questions for our tester?
