Ubisoft Mainz is preparing the release of the Steampunk Pack for Anno 1800 before: The new Schönbau DLC will be activated on May 14th. In a current one Blog entry The developers give concrete information about the expansion, which can be purchased on PC and consoles from next week for 4.99 euros. The focus of the package is primarily on steampunk elements – so there will be no shortage of bronze, gold and steam. You can look forward not only to new ornaments, but also to a selection of matching skins. This includes new paint for the university building, the investor houses and the church. The latter will be transformed into the “Temple of Progress” – with a huge telescope on the roof.
New Skins & Ornaments
The new ornaments include the steam bath house, which invites your residents to relax. Also new are the Heavenly Fountain and an aquarium in which extraordinary underwater creatures live. As a special eye-catcher you can place the Ma.schine.Rie statue in your town. The ornament is “symbolic of one of the biggest inspirations of this package: Metropolis – a German science fiction film from the 1920s,” write the developers. Gift for all Anno 1800 players
The package also includes two new train skins – Hans-Dampf and Neue Era Express. The flagship also gets a new skin, Nautilus. This is an allusion to Captain Nemo's fictional submarine in Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. In addition to the expansion, an update will also be released for all Anno 1800 players. To celebrate the fifth anniversary, there is a small gift in the next patch: Ubisoft Mainz is giving out a friendship ornament to all players.
