The year of the dragon
The rumors are rife. After the new information regarding the next Monster Hunter, it's the turn of another famous video game license to get people talking about it today. According to Canadian YouTuber Eh Guy, who mainly covers the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games, a new game dedicated to the famous purple dragon is in preparation. The information would come from several consistent sources encountered during PAX East.
The videographer is categorical: Spyro is indeed in development. “This is not an evidence-based theory. No conspiracies, not even an insistent hint“, he added. According to him, development would have started in January, shortly after the announcement of the return of the Toys for Bob studio as an independent studio.
A still very young project
Toys for Bob was until now part of Activision-Blizzard after Blizzard bought the studio from Activision. Since then, the studio has notably developed Skylanders: Spyro's Adventurethe compilation Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time and also worked on Warzone and the latest Call of Duty games. But now that Activision-Blizzard belongs to Microsoft, Toys for Bob has regained its independence and intends to collaborate with the giant to work on new projects. Earlier in the month, the studio announced that it had signed an agreement with Microsoft to develop their first independent game. Toys for Bob also asked its community to “keep your horns”.
