In a new blog post, Larian revealed that he is working on two new projects. What this is about hasn't been revealed yet, but the boss seems to be pretty excited.

Independent studio wants to follow its creativity

Last month, Vincke spoke about how while his studio began work on DLC for Baldur's Gate 3, but stopped it again. Larian had probably also thought about a “Baldur's Gate 4”. However, the team's heart wasn't in it.

In a new blog post on Steam, Larian not only gave upcoming content for Baldur's Gate 3“, but also briefly touched on his own future.

“As an independent studio since 1996, we value the freedom to follow our creativity wherever it takes us,” the post reads. “In this case, after six years in the Forgotten Realms and much discussion and consideration, we decided to take the opportunity to develop our own IPs. We are currently working on two new projects and we couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds for us.”

Boss gives in to the hype

While it's still too early to talk about the projects, “the feeling that Baldur's Gate 3 gave you is alive and well here at Larian Castle.” The players also wouldn't have to worry about the change of direction, if the words of “excited Swen” are to be believed.

“I don't know if we'll be able to do it, but when I look at our plans for the narrative, the graphics and the gameplay, I think what we're working on now will be our best work ever,” says the Larian -Boss quoted. “I get as excited as a child when I look at the key frames. I want to show it to everyone right away while I'm frustrated that I have to wait for everything to actually work. Yes, it’s hype, but it’s hype because it looks and feels really good.”
