A plague can destroy entire cities and that's what gets players excited

Wash your vassals! Before we get into the game mechanics of Dragon's Dogma 2, which is called Dragon Plague and has to do with our appeal: First, a spoiler warning – Although it won't be about story elements, the aforementioned plague can influence your gaming experience in one way or another.

Dragon's Dogma 2: What exactly is the Dragon Plague?

This is a disease that can affect all of your vassals and is passed on by them. You will only receive a warning the first time you encounter the plague on a vassal.

How do you recognize them? Affected minions have red eyes, cough, complain of headaches and later refuse your orders.

What's the worst that can happen? So far, players have reported that affected minions trigger a cutscene at a certain stage when you spend the night in an inn or your home. Consequently all the residents of the city die.

The effects of the dragon plague can be very drastic, as quest NPCs can of course also die. This is unsurprisingly pleasing not all players.

How can the dragon plague be prevented?

You should be your vassals keep a close eye on it and if you hired them, fire them or throw them into the water at the first sign.

Even if in doubt, you should kill and revive your main vassal. It is important not to spend the night in an inn so as not to trigger the destruction of an entire city. However some players reportthat settlements wiped out by the dragon plague after some playing time be populated again by the NPCs.
