A little cat is stealing the show this week

But that is no reason for thoughtless acts of desperation, such as going out for some fresh air or tidying up your apartment. Because there are still a whole handful of games appearing that could possibly give you many happy hours.

It may sound strange, but at the time of this article, this game is on the radar or even on the wish list of a whopping 27,490 Steam users. There are probably many cat lovers among them who cannot resist the sight of the sweet kitty.

What's the matter? You play the little kitten who wakes up in a big city after a long nap and should actually head home. But a cat wouldn't be a cat if it didn't have a mind of its own.

That's why you bumble around the urban game world, explore the open world, make friends with other animals, complete quests and even annoy one or two people, muhaha!

Oh, but remember: you should show up at home at some point!

• Poison: You wake up as an old man on a cruise ship. It's just stupid that the boat is currently sinking. You have to escape in time in an exciting escape.

Thursday, May 9th

• Animal Well: A pixelated Metroidvania in which you, as a small life form, explore a mysterious well full of creatures and secrets.
• Cryptmaster: An unusual role-playing game in two respects. Firstly, the game world is completely immersed in black and white, secondly, you can type words or even speak to interact with the environment.
• Crow Country: A retro adventure in which you explore a disused amusement park. If you don't let the old-fashioned look put you off, you could experience some entertaining spooky fun here.
• King Arthur: Legion IX: A mix of turn-based tactics and role-playing. You guide the Roman tribune Gaius Julius Mento through the fantasy world of Avalon, where he has to face demonic forces.

Friday, May 10th

• Gatekeepers: A roguelike in which you search for nothing less than the heart of the universe. You have to make your way through hordes of hostile machines. If you don't want to go off alone, you can also tackle the adventure in co-op.

There you have it: Even if you're not particularly fond of cats, you might still get your money's worth this week. After all, the new releases cover a wide range of genres.

And don't worry, there's another big release coming next week with the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima.
