A life simulator halfway between The Lord of the Rings and Animal Crossing is soon coming to our screens, and it's pretty exciting!

After being teased a few days ago, The Lord of the Rings: Tales of the Shire, developed by Wētā Workshop, which promises players to live within the Shire, was finally revealed in a real trailer. True to its promises, the title is in line with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Stardew Valley as well as Disney Dreamlight Valley, by offering a calm and quiet life simulator, but this time, within Tolkien's universe.

A quiet little town

In Tales of the Shireplayers are invited to play a Hobbit, before being released into the small village of Bywater. They can then work alongside other residents to develop the picturesque town. To do this, there are no secrets: players can fish, prepare meals, tend to their garden, decorate their house, make friends with other Hobbits, And much more. Bywater will evolve over the seasons, undoubtedly offering resources specific to each of them, and welcoming different passing visitors, including some well known to fans of Tolkien's books and their adaptations by Peter Jackson.

No release date has been confirmed yet, but it has been revealed that Tales of the Shire East expected for this year.
