Leave the dungeon using an emote

The easiest way to leave a dungeon in Diablo 4 is through the chat menu. On the PC you simply open this with a Press the E button. On the controller you press that instead D-pad up.

When you get to the menu, all you have to do is click on the item Exit dungeon select and you will be teleported to the gates of the dungeon.

Leave the dungeon via the map

Another option is to open the map. You can then select the dungeon exit on the map, whereupon a small window will appear. Now all you have to do is confirm and you'll leave the dungeon and find yourself right in front of the gates.

Leave the dungeon via the city portal

In fact, there is a third option for which you only need a single click. Simply open your city portalby default this is on the T key on your keyboard.

The city portal has two advantages: Firstly, you are transported directly into the city instead of to the gates of the dungeon. So you have direct access to various dealers, the blacksmith or fresh potions. On the other hand, your portal remains as long as you don't leave the city. If you use the portal again, you will be returned to the exact location where you used your city portal.

So if you only left the dungeon because your inventory is full of items again, you can return directly to the dungeon after a short stop in the city and continue the fight.
