Tips for all machines in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: Hyrule's residents are a quirky people. From Stamp Man to Master of the Slumber Dojo, the characters all have their own quirks and quests for Zelda, who makes her way through Hyrule in Echoes of Wisdom. The machines are the creations of a very special inventor, and we'll explain how you get them in this guide.
After completing “The King Remains Missing”, a mechanic named Boris can be found in the north of Hyrule City, whose wrench has been stolen by a bird. Kill the bird, then Boris invites you to follow him to his hut, where he builds automatons.

Automatons are small monster-like machines that Zelda can raise and make work for her. Like Echos, only with a winding screw. For these constructions he needs visual aids that you should bring with you in the form of echoes.
“Boris and his automatons”: The Arachnokete consists of a Mothula (trained in the Phirone Marshes) and an Arachno (trained in the Jabul Waters).

“The big Krawumm festival”: The Kanonorok consists of an Oktorok (learned on the Plains of Hyrule) and a firework. You can get the fireworks by talking to Basalter (top right) after “The Rift of Eldin Volcano” in Goronia and completing the quest “Basalter, the Fireworker”. To do this you have to get black earth from the platform around the westernmost hot spring on Eldin.

Boris will be overjoyed when you've brought him all the inspiration, and you'll have six more mechanical friends. However, like any technical masterpiece, the machines break down after a while and have to go back to Boris' workshop to be repaired.
There you can get a mechanical ring from him for five monster stones, which you can use to wind the winding keys of the machines more quickly.
