New product series and an updated one that is delicious
The Redmi A7 Pro will be Xiaomi’s new budget model with a large screen, long battery life and modern software in a lower price segment.
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A7 Pro, the first Pro model in the company’s A series and an addition that should provide more advanced functions in the lower price range. The model is designed for users who want a large screen, long battery life and modern software without having to pay for a premium phone. The screen is 6.9 inches with up to 120 Hz refresh rate, and it is equipped with technology that allows the touch function to continue working even when it gets wet from rain.
The phone uses HyperOS 3 and an octa-core processor along with UFS 2.2 storage. It can also get up to 8 GB of extra virtual working memory, something that should contribute to stable performance for everyday tasks such as surfing, messaging and video streaming. The battery is 6000 mAh and is one of the most important parts of the model. Xiaomi states that it lasts for more than two days on a charge and can handle long periods of calls, video playback and music. The company also says the battery should retain over 80 percent of its capacity after 1,000 charge cycles, which means several years of normal use.
The camera part consists of a 13-megapixel dual camera with HDR+ and several AI-based functions that should improve images in low light, recognize the sky and documents, and provide more balanced photos in different environments. Redmi A7 Pro is sold in Black, Mist Blue, Palm Green and Sunset Orange colors. The simpler version with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage costs SEK 1,590, while the model with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage has a price of SEK 1,790.
At the same time, the publication publishes WinFuture leaked information about upcoming Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro. WinFuture prices will be higher than in previous years because storage costs have increased, but the models also get larger batteries and faster processors.
The two phones differ mainly in size and in the design of the camera module. The 17T has a 6.59-inch screen, while the 17T Pro measures 6.83 inches. Both models have high resolution and up to 144 Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi uses the MediaTek chip in both versions: Dimensity 8500 Ultra in the 17T and Dimensity 9500 in the Pro model.
The phones get 12 GB of working memory and up to 512 GB of storage. The camera system consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with five times optical zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle. The selfie camera is 32 megapixels.
The batteries will be larger than before. 17T gets 6500 mAh and 17T Pro 7000 mAh. Fast charging is supported at up to 100 watts, and wireless charging is limited to the Pro model. Another difference is the materials: the 17T has a plastic chassis while the 17T Pro gets a metal frame.
According to leaked price information, the 17T is expected to cost from 749 euros in Europe, while the 17T Pro with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage lands at 999 euros.
