Screen
Fast for the price tag
Fast charges
Today, the flagship models among mobile phones typically cost from SEK 11,000 and up. So we have the intermediate price models for SEK 4000 – 6000 that often give you good screen and decent cameras but in a noticeably slower mobile, and below the budget models that are mostly able to deliver what you need but without good performance or particularly good cameras.
It is fun when you find a mobile that violates that pattern, which is why it is also extra fun that Xiaomi has reintroduced its brand Poco in the Swedish market. The Poco mobiles may put a little less focus on the cameras, but give a lot of performance for the price tag.

The reintroduction takes place in the form of two models, Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra, where the latter is a mobile with Qualcomm's fastest Snapdragonchipset for SEK 8000. We have tested it separately, but it is of course interesting to compare the differences between the two mobiles as they are quite similar.
However, Poco F7 Pro, which we test here, has a price tag of SEK 6,000 with 12 gigabytes of working memory and 256 gigabytes of storage space. This is SEK 300 cheaper than Samsung takes for its middle Prismobil Galaxy A56 with 256 GB. If you want Poco F7 Pro with 512 GB of storage you have to pay SEK 500 more, and you may want to, because the phone lacks a memory card slot so you cannot extend the amount of storage.

Input
There is nothing that says intermediate price with the design at Poco F7 Pro. The phone has thin frames around the screen, aluminum frame and glass back, where especially the part around the camera island has a pretty cool design. The phone is waterproof according to the IP68 class, and the screen has shock -resistant glass of Gorilla Glass 7i type, but of course there is no guarantee that you do not crack the glass so you probably want to use the supplied black rubber shell.

Companies also make a fast charger of 90 watts, which is used to recharge the phone's extra large battery of 6000 mAh. That charger can charge the phone from one percent to 42 percent in 10 minutes, and to quite exactly half an hour. Despite this, Xiaomi promises that the battery will hold for 1600 charging cycles before capacity has dropped to 80 percent.
Despite the extra large battery, I actually only get average battery life in our battery test where we stream video until the battery dies. The large battery also makes the phone quite large and heavy.

Large is also the screen, and bright. The maximum brightness is 3000 nits, which in practical use means that the screen is fully readable in direct sunlight if you set your mobile on automatic brightness. The screen is in OLED type and has high resolution and quick update frequency of 120 Hz which gives sharp screen even while swipe quickly in menus, scroll on web pages or in other apps. It is an excellent screen, which in itself is not unique to the price tag.
It is, on the other hand, the performance. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system circuit from Qualcomm. It is the circle that ran most of last year's top models with Android as operating systems, such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, OnePlus 12 or Xiaomi 14. This year's top models are faster, but these are also the only ones. Compared to other intermediate price mobiles that have cheaper system circuits, Poco F7 Pro is markedly faster. The Poco F7 Ultra is of course further faster, but this is only noticed in some high performance situations such as our graphic tests and 3D games. In everyday use, the response feels immediately in both models.

Middle -price cameras
The cameras, on the other hand, are more intermediate than top model. Here is a main camera with a 50 megapixel sensor that is about as large as the one in the Samsung Galaxy A56. It is also the same main camera that sits in Poco F7 Ultra. On the other hand, the pretty good telecommunications camera that Poco F7 Ultra has is completely missing, and the wide -angle camera is of a simpler kind with only 8 megapixel resolution and without autofocus.
The main camera, on the other hand, is really nice. We do not get the fine color rendering that Xiaomi has in its top models thanks to more lavish hardware there and its collaboration with Leica, but otherwise the images are sharp and detailed, even in poorer light. The large and high -resolution sensor also allows you to take pictures with two times zoom that are still sharp. In practice, I think I can foot with up to five times magnification and still get pictures that look acceptable, but after two times zoom, the pictures are just digitally enlarged.

The system is Android 15 with Xiaomi's user interface Hyper OS 2, the sub-brand Poco is mainly noticed on the phone's themes and that some app icons look a little different. Hyper OS is a bit messy and with many settings that can be more difficult to find, but it should not be exaggerated. If you come from another mobile brand, you will find yourself quite quickly. Xiaomi is fond of apps, and in addition to Google's mandatory apps, you get Xiaomi's system apps that sometimes double Googles, such as the browser, third -party apps, and also try Xiaomi in the installation Stop with some games you have not asked for, when you are not aware, but you can choose.

Xiaomi promises four major system updates to Poco F7 Ultra. It is two fewer than Samsung promises to the Galaxy A56 but on the other hand as Xiaomi promises to its more expensive Xiaomi 15, so at least you do not give the low -price mark worse support.
In almost every other way you get significantly more phone for the money with Poco F7 than with other new mobiles right now. It's as close to a top model for SEK 6000 you can get.
Questions & answers
How is the fingerprint reader? It sits in the screen which I am skeptical of, but during the test period it works without any problems.
What are the differences in Poco F7 Ultra? Poco F7 Ultra costs SEK 2000 more and has a faster system circuit, telecommunications camera and a better wide -angle camera. It is also a little thinner and lighter but in return has smaller battery. Ultran has wireless charging which is missing in PRO.
Can you have Esim on the phone? No, that function is missing.
An alternative
For SEK 500, you get Google Pixel 9A, which is a little smaller and smoother, which also has really good camera for the price tag and is also promised 7 years system updates.
Camera example

The camera in Poco F7 Pro takes sharp images in most situations, even contrasting conditions.
