The battery life
The whole basis for the creation of tablets is that they should provide something unique that you cannot get in a computer and not in a mobile phone. Larger screen than the mobile phone, more flexible format than the computer. Which plate you should choose depends mostly on what you want to use it for and then also what budget you want to set aside.

11 inch screen in the tablet world is quite small, but it is enough for us to use two apps side by side. Unfortunately, you don’t get an OLED screen here, which can lift the impression of a tablet from good to overwhelming, but here the brightness is still nice and the colors relatively clear. In addition, the price tag is in the lower segment and OLED screen is therefore not something we would have expected at that price either.
Just like almost all tablets, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro works fine for web surfing, watching movies and so on. Two speakers on each short side secure the sound so it is enough. None of this directly requires extreme power, but the chip in the Pad 8 Pro provides plenty of performance even for more demanding games and other apps.

The tablet does not come with a SIM card slot, but it is still easy to use the mobile phone for internet sharing and thus have a connection wherever you are. Overall, Xiaomi has actually put a lot of effort into making it easy to get your devices to work together. I can copy content on the phone and directly paste seamlessly into the tablet, and vice versa. This is because both the tablet and my Xiaomi phone are logged into my Xiaomi account and connected to wifi. It’s almost as easy to bring up the phone’s screen on the tablet and it’s a convenient way to keep track if I’m sitting with the tablet in one room and the phone is charging in the next room. This also works so I can use the tablet as an extra screen for the computer, regardless of whether the computer is a Windows PC or a Mac.
Xiaomi offers several different keyboards for the tablet, one a little lighter, looser, and one significantly heavier and more stable. In addition, you can buy a pen that you can attach using a magnetic attachment to the edge of the plate, as the pen is also charged that way. However, all these accessories are ones you have to pay extra for and buy separately and nothing comes with it. It is also worth noting that the keyboards lack Swedish characters, so here in Sweden they have limited functionality.

In any case, in addition to letting you write and take notes, the pen can also function as a type of laser pointer so you can control a red dot on the screen and draw remotely when the tablet is some distance away, but that function is very limited and it happens time and time again that the dot sticks out uncontrollably without corresponding to my movement of the pen. type of laser pointer. As a regular stylus on the screen for drawing and taking notes, the Focus Pen Pro works well in any case. I can write directly into the text field in various apps and have what I write interpreted directly into editable text. It works really well, beyond expectations even in Swedish with åäö.
Overall, this tablet is good for all basic uses such as web browsing and movies, but also focuses on collaboration with both computer and mobile, especially if your mobile is a newer Xiaomi phone.

Questions and answers
How are the cameras?
The single camera on the back is very simple and is barely enough for even the simplest photos in good lighting, but perhaps the tablet camera is mostly used for video calls and it is for just that and selfies, on the front then, are perfectly fine for the purpose of clear wide angle.
What colors?
The plate is available in grey, blue or green.
What accessories are available?
Xiaomi has a new pen and several keyboard covers, but without a cover and case.
An alternative
The Lenovo Yoga Tab we tested recently is similar and cheaper.
