Xiaomi launches the mobile accessories Redmi Buds 8 Pro, Xiaomi Tag and UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank

Headset, track tray and spare battery

Xiaomi’s latest mobile accessories include a track tray that works with both Apple and Google, the cheap Redmi Buds 8 Pro headset, and an ultra-thin power bank with magnetic attachment and 5000 mAh capacity.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Buds series usually delivers true wireless headsets with features that impress for the price tag. The latest model, Redmi Buds 8 Pro, has a recommended price of SEK 999 and is therefore a bit more expensive for being in the Redmi Buds series.

Redmi Buds 8 Pro has triple speaker elements and active noise reduction with up to 55 dB. For calls, three microphones are used to reduce ambient noise, and you should be able to have clear conversations in wind speeds of up to 12 m/s, for example.

The headset should last 8 hours on a charge, or 33 hours with the case. 5 minutes of charging should be enough for two hours of listening. They support dual connections and are rain and sweat resistant according to IP54.

Xiaomi Tag is, as the name suggests, Xiaomi’s first track tags. They are compatible with both Apple Find My and Google Android Find Hub, depending on which system you use. You can attach the tag to items such as knick-knacks, bags or luggage and easily see where they are and call for them if you’ve lost them.

When it’s in Bluetooth range, you can locate the Xiaomi Tag and trigger a sound via the Apple Find My app or Google Android Find Hub. Lost mode allows users to mark an item as missing and add contact information to facilitate return, while joint search further improves recovery by enabling secure location sharing within the network when needed. To protect against unwanted tracking, the phone automatically alerts users when an unknown tracking tag is detected.

The tray has a weight of 10 grams and a metal ring that can be used to attach it. Xiaomi Tag has over a year of battery life with a replaceable CR2032 battery, and is dust and water resistant according to IP67. The trays have a recommended price of SEK 169.

The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 is a 5000 mAh power bank that is only 6 mm thin, thanks to a battery with a 16 percent silicon content. It weighs 98 grams and can charge with up to 15 watts of power. You can use it both with a cord or let it charge wirelessly, because the latter is equipped with a magnetic attachment so you can attach it directly to the mobile. The battery features advanced thermal management and multiple safety protections for reliable, stable performance. The recommended price is SEK 850.

All three devices are available for purchase now.
