A new smartphone from Xiaomi with the possibility of contactless payment began to be sold in Russia. Writes about it Lifehacker.

Xiaomi’s Redmi 12C budget smartphone received a 6.71-inch HD + display and a 50 MP main camera with a depth sensor. The device runs on a good mid-range Mediatek Helio G85 chip, and a 5000 mAh battery is responsible for autonomy. Unfortunately, the vendor decided to save money and installed a microUSB port instead of USB-C.

But the smartphone received an NFC module, which means that you can pay for purchases contactlessly, including through Mir Pay. Other than that, the Redmi 12C has relatively fresh Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an unusually placed fingerprint scanner in the camera module.
