Black Myth: To call Wukong

Black Myth: To call Wukong “big” would be an understatement – if the rumors are true.

The action adventure Black Myth: Wukong is moving toward release at breakneck speed. On August 20, 2024, fans of tough Soulslikes will once again be able to get their teeth into normal enemies, impressive bosses and… pretty much everything in the game world.

An insider now provides new information about the scope of the game. We would like to stress in advance that the figures mentioned above are not confirmed. But we don't want to withhold them from you either, because they sound too tempting for fans of the genre. It's best to put on your skepticism hat when reading the article, then nothing can happen to you.

Over 80 bosses and much more

No, when we wrote the subheading, no cat walked across the numeric keypad of our keyboard. More than 80 bosseswaiting to ram you into the ground unsharpened! Black Myth: Wukong is supposed to be really, really big, according to X-user and self-proclaimed leaker Lunatic Ignus.

And that's not all: Over 160 different enemy types, multiple endings and a New Game Plus mode when the game is released are promised by the insider.

Lunatic Igus also has good news for everyone who is very interested in the world and story of Black Myth: Wukong, but is afraid of the high level of difficulty. Because the game should a little easier than the well-known Soulsborne games from FromSoftware.

As I said, none of this is official. However, the leaker Lunatic Ignus is considered a reliable source for all things related to video games from the Far East and, given the long development time of five years, it is easy to imagine that Black Myth: Wukong will offer a lot of content.

Things are already looking rosy for the game on Steam

What is the Steam logo doing in the article image? No, we do not receive a commission from Valve in the form of secret GameStar sales where we can stock up on Half-Life 3 and the like (but that would be a great idea!).

The reason is different: Black Myth is at the top of the most wanted games on Steam around three months before its release (via SteamDB). With over 331,000 followers, the game has a comfortable lead over second place – Hollow Knight: Silksong with almost 288,000 followers.

And as we all know, Silksong never comes out anyway…

Our editorial director Dimi is also an impressive boss and our scope is nothing to sneeze at either! Did you know that Epic is only giving away a real role-playing highlight for a few more hours? Or that there are some interesting details hidden in the new trailer for the Elden Ring add-on Shadow of the Erdtree? And how furious is Furiosa in the cinema? You can find out everything about it in the articles linked above.
