Another winner was crowned by you: We wanted to know from you about Easter, whether you prefer The Witcher or Cyberpunk 2077. You voted diligently again and chose your winner with almost half of all votes.

Sword beats mantis blade, The Witcher 3 clearly wins the race for your favor. But from second place onwards it will be hard fought. We'll break down the result for you.

The Witcher 3 wins, but Cyberpunk wins when it comes to addons

As a reminder: We not only gave you the three Witcher games and the base game of Cyberpunk 2077 to choose from, but also the big story addons – we know that they are also extremely popular.

This is how you rank the CD Projekt Red games:

With 41 percent of all votes, The Witcher 3 sits unattainably high. Cyberpunk 2077 secured second place with a still impressive 23 percent of all votes. His addon Phantom Liberty follows shortly behind, which lands just ahead of the popular Witcher 3 addon Blood and Wine.

The Witcher 2 makes it ahead of the Hearts of Stone add-on with just a few votes, The Witcher (1) comes in second to last place and Gwent: The Witcher Card Game brings up the rear with a meager 14 votes.

That's what you say about the vote

The comment with the most upvotes was written by our long-time Plus reader raven1386. He had a hard time with the vote, in his detailed post he explains what strengths and weaknesses he sees in each of the Witcher games.

The survey is not easy for me to answer, in fact it is impossible. Each Witcher part has its own strengths and weaknesses and I really like each part in its own way.

Marius W. thinks (like several other comments) that The Witcher 3 should not be divided up, but should be viewed as a complete work, including add-ons.

Find the answer options unsatisfactory. Witcher 3 is only a complete and mature game with the addons. Doesn't make sense to treat the expansions as standalone games. The same applies to CP2077.

Thanks for your feedback, maybe next time we'll find a happy medium to still accommodate large addons in our rankings!

The opinions in the editorial team are different: Our editor Sören Diedrich also speaks out in the comments and complains that The Witcher (1) only received so few votes. Editor Steffi refrained from making a similar comment (albeit about The Witcher 2) and will soon tell you in a column why she likes that part best.

A few months ago we voted internally as to whether we would personally prefer the next Cyberpunk or the next Witcher. Cyberpunk 2 aka Project Orion won with us 7 to 4.

Thank you for your diligent participation and the lively discussion in the comments. Of course, we also look forward to your constructive criticism; we want to design such votes and community rankings in such a way that you enjoy them! Which rankings should we include in our pool?
