The hacker announced on tinyapps that the algorithm used by Microsoft to verify the Windows XP genuine key has been cracked and reverse engineered a tool called xp_activate32.exe, which can now generate valid activation codes for WinXP in a completely offline state.

Of course, all this is of little significance. Microsoft shut down all the online activation servers of WinXP. However, it is said that the telephone activation method is still available.

Today, Microsoft has long since ended all support for the XP system, and even after upgrading the built-in IE browser to IE8, it has been banned from visiting many websites including Microsoft’s official website.
