Windows 11 24H2 update history gets a new area for AI components

Microsoft is currently still testing functions for Windows 11 24H2 in the Canary. This has already been delivered to the OEMs. The first devices with this version will appear from June. Primarily ARM devices, which will then also contain new AI functions.

In the current 26217, Microsoft has added a new menu under Windows Update -> Update History. In addition to function updates, quality updates, and other updates, the AI component updates menu now also appears. This will certainly only appear for those who have an AI-capable CPU. We had already reported about it once.

The entry itself appears in the musupdatehandlers2.dll.mui, as Xeno found out.

A search field for the tablet-optimized taskbar is being tested

Microsoft is currently testing in beta that the search field in the taskbar appears even when the taskbar is hidden. In the Canary mentioned above, Microsoft is now also trying to display the search field in the taskbar in a taskbar optimized for tablets. It still looks a bit off with the cookies in the field, but it's just an internal test.

If you own a tablet and have the 26217 installed, you can try it out yourself.
