The bloody third-person shooter was actually supposed to appear at the end of 2023 before publisher Focus Entertainment announced a huge shift. The successor to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is currently scheduled for autumn, more precisely on September 9, 2024 will be published and should have a little more to offer in terms of content – if the accompanying art book is to be believed.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 – Apparently with PvP mode

Although the release is still several months away, one YouTuber has already managed to create one finished version of the art book to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in your hands. In a 24-minute video, he gives a quick insight into the content, which also reveals some new information.

So Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will probably have one too PvP multiplayer mode in which only Marines compete against each other. In the art book you can already see different designs for different classes of Space Marines. It should also be possible to customize your own banner.

The artbook does not provide any further details about the planned PvP mode. It is also unclear whether this will actually be included in the game at the end or whether it was just intended as a concept. Focus Interactive and developer Saber only have one so far Online co-op mode for the campaign confirmed.

Further details with risk of spoilers

The artbook leak not only anticipates the possible announcement of a PvP mode, but also provides further details. Such are, for example countless weapons and individual opponents to see. The latter in particular turns out to be spoiler territory because the squad around Captain Titus will not only be dealing with one enemy.

According to the art book, Tyranids are, as expected, the central antagonists but your chainsaw sword can also touch Chaos Marines. This change will probably occur over the course of the story, similar to what happened in the first part.

Of course, all of this information is up to now not confirmed. And even though the art book has a very official character, Focus and Saber have not commented on its contents. In the gamescom demo for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2which we were able to play almost a year ago, at least there was no sign of the Chaos Marines.
