Which difficulty level in Diablo 4 is best suited for me?

In Diablo 4 you have two levels of difficulty available to you from which you can freely choose. But which one is best for you? We explain the most important differences to you.

How do the world stages differ in Diablo 4?

Diablo 4 is divided into Adventurer, Veteran, Nightmare and Torment world levels. The higher the difficulty level, the greater the amount of gold and experience points that are awarded through defeated monsters. Adventurer or veteran?

If you are taking part in the campaign for the first time, only the two difficulty levels Adventurer and Veteran are available to you. If you want to unlock the Nightmare and Torment levels, you must first complete the campaign and complete the final dungeon.

If you want to play through the campaign as efficiently as possible and reach the end game, We recommend the adventurer world level. Veteran gives you 20 percent more experience points, but the fights last significantly longer. The act bosses in particular have noticeably more life points, which will cost you more time. In addition, the risk of dying is significantly higher, which will further hinder your progress.

When should I unlock World Tier 4?

The highest level of difficulty, Torment, is only unlocked once you have completed the associated final dungeon. The monsters in this dungeon are level 70, so you should have reached a comparable level. Some classes and builds can conquer the dungeon at level 65 or even lower. If that's too difficult for you, it's no problem to tackle the final dungeon at level 70 or 75.
