Where to watch Roland-Garros 2024: Live Streaming Options for the Prestigious Tennis Tournament

France Télévisions (France 2, France 3) and Amazon are broadcasting the 123rd edition of Roland-Garros, which begins this Sunday, May 26. To watch the entire tennis tournament, you must alternate between the two platforms.

Before Euro 2024 football and before the Olympic Games in Paris, sports fans have an appointment with Roland-Garros — the second Grand Slam tournament of the year in tennis. It is a prestigious event, of which it is already the 123rd edition.

There are many favorites for this Roland-Garros 2024. Novak Djokovic, less imperial in recent months, is one of them. But we will have to be wary of Jannik Sinner, certainly uncertain a few days ago, or even of Carlos Alcaraz, strong on clay. Unlike last year, Rafael Nadal, 14 titles at Roland-Garros, will be there.

Like every year, Roland-Garros is simple to follow, but there are still subtleties to know.

Where to see the 2024 edition of Roland-Garros?

The broadcast of Roland-Garros is divided between two players: France Télévisions and Prime Video. The organizers of the prestigious tournament have signed a four-year deal for this collaboration.

Meetings are shared as follows :

  • All of the matches played on the day are offered by France Télévisions, before the semi-finals;
  • The 11 night-session matches (which start at 8:30 p.m.) are offered by Amazon Prime Video;
  • The semi-finals and the final (women's and men's, singles and doubles) are offered by the two broadcasters.

How to watch Roland-Garros for free on France Télévisions?

Generally, it is on France 2 that the France Télévisions group broadcasts Roland-Garros. On certain occasions, it happens to switch its antenna to France 3. The canal France 4 can also be mobilized.

Of course, there is a France.TV application. The service can be downloaded from iOS Or Android, but also on your connected TV (Android, Apple TV, Samsung, etc.). Once connected, you also have access to all the courts.

Can we watch Roland-Garros in 4K?

This is the big news for the 2024 edition of Roland-Garros: the arrival of 4K UHD via France 2 for a good part of the territory, after ten years of experimentation. As the specialized site reminds us Ultra-k.frthe deployment of France 2 UHD via DTT began in January (knowing that the priority remains the Olympic Games).

On ISP boxes, Orange has already announced its compatibility, provided you are a Fiber subscriber. For the others, we don't know yet. For satellite reception, you will have to turn to Fransat.

The matches captured and broadcast in 4K UHD (with HDR) concern four courts: Philippe-Chatrier, Suzanne-Lenglen, Simonne-Mathieu and court 14.

Will 4K also be on Amazon? Nothing is less sure. And we will wait for the first match broadcast to check it.

What to expect from the 2024 edition of Roland-Garros?

Note that Nadal will have a shock entry against Alexander Zverev (from Sunday), while Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka will treat themselves to a small vintage poster.

But the men's singles tournament will not be the only category to follow. On the women's side, Iga Swiatek will aim for nothing more and nothing less than a third title in a row.
