What is the series about? Tales of the Empire will she speak?
As Tales of the Jedi, Tales of the Empire will follow “two paths”, that is to say two characters. These are two figures well known to fans of Star Wars : the first is Morgan Elsbeth, a witch from Dathomir who appears in season 2 of The Mandalorian and who is one of the main antagonists of the series Ahsoka.
The second is Barriss Offee. She is a former Jedi apprentice who fell from grace after orchestrating an attack against the Jedi Order, and trying to make Ahsoka look like the culprit.
Although these two anti-heroines had already appeared on screen, many aspects of their lives remained unknown. Tales of the Empire will come to fill this hole, by making us discover the youth of Morgan Elsbeth and her meeting with Thrawn, and the life of Barriss after his conviction and the fall of the Republic.
Who are the main characters ?
The two main anti-heroines will be Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee. The trailer for the series also shows that other well-known characters will appear on screen, such as the Grand Inquisitor, Grand Admiral Thrawn, but also… Darth Vader.

What casting for Tales of the Empire ?
Tales of the Empire is an animated series, so there is no real actor on screen. However, we can note that Diana Lee Inosanto, who plays Morgan Elsbeth on screen, also lends her voice to the witch in these episodes. Likewise, Lars Mikkelsen reprises his role as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
When takes place Tales of the Empire ?
Tales of the Jedi followed three different moments in the lives of Count Dooku and Ahsoka — and according to the trailer, Tales of the Empire should use the same construction. The series should therefore take place at several points in the Star Wars universe.
It is therefore difficult to establish exact dates for the events that will take place in the series. However, we know that Barriss Offee's fall into the dark side takes place just before the end of the Republic and the beginning of the Empire (i.e. the end of the prelogy films). His part should therefore take place during this period, while the Empire is experiencing its beginnings.
For Morgan Elsbeth, the temporality should more or less be the same. Given that she appears to be slightly older thanAhsoka in the eponymous series, his youth should take place during the Clone Wars and the beginning of the Empire.
