The cooperative first-person shooter “Warhammer 40,000: Darktide” is coming to the PS5. The date has been set and PlayStation fans can also watch a trailer.
Enriched after debuting on PC and Xbox Series X/S “Warhammer 40,000: Darktide” soon the PS5 portfolio. Developed by Swedish studio Fatsharks, the game once again focuses on co-op action for up to four players – but this time with an emphasis on gunfights rather than melee combat.
The gameplay takes players into the dark “Warhammer 40K” universe, in which the companions have to fight their way through the dark depths of the Hive. Corrupt forces have taken hold here and want to plunge the city of Tertium into a chaos of corruption and violence.
Players take on the role of outcasts and try to prevent the impending takeover by dark creatures and all sorts of forces. The dark atmosphere is strengthened by a booming soundscape.
Pre-order bonus and release details
“Warhammer 40,000: Darktide” will officially be released on December 3, 2024 for the PS5 and can be pre-ordered from the PlayStation Store for 39.99 euros.
If you want something more, go for the Imperial Edition, which costs 59.99 euros. PS Plus members receive a 15 percent discount until December 3, 2024 and ultimately only pay 50.99 euros.
In addition to the base game, the contents of the Imperial Edition include the Loyalist Pack, the Mortis Veterans portrait frame, a Caducades backpack and 2,500 Aquilas (premium currency).
In addition, pre-orderers enjoy a special advantage: They can immerse themselves in the game six days before the official release and thus get an early impression of the battles.
Worth mentioning: In the PlayStation Store “Warhammer 40,000: Darktide” is listed with the PS5 Pro Enhanced label and therefore benefits from the mid-gen console released this week.
