Gamingdeputy News on February 5th, Volvo Cars announced through a press release today that the company has achieved 17 consecutive months of sales growth, making a good start for this year.Its global sales in January reached 53,402 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 10%. Among them, the “Recharge” series models using pure electric or plug-in hybrid achieved sales of 19,171 units that month.

Compared with January last year, sales in Europe increased by 8% to 23,141 units, of which new energy vehicles accounted for 60%.Then came the Chinese market. Volvo sold 16,042 vehicles in China that month, an increase of 36% compared with the same period last year.The performance of the US market followed closely with 7,716 units.

During the month, the Volvo XC60 was the best-selling model, with global sales reaching 18,011 units (16,016 units in the same period last year), followed by the XC40 with a total sales of 12,628 units (14,038 units in the same period last year), and the XC90 with 8,167 units (7,438 units in the same period last year).

The sales contributed by the Chinese market include 989 new energy vehicles (161 pure electric vehicles and 828 plug-in hybrid vehicles). According to a report by Dianchedi, Volvo's sales in Greater China were 16,900 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 38.9%.According to the plan, Volvo will launch two new pure electric cars in mainland China in 2024 – EX90 and EX30.
