Today, August 6, at the Akhmat-Arena stadium in Grozny, Akhmat played in the match of the 4th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) with the reigning national champion Zenit Petersburg. The final whistle of Sergei Ivanov fixed a goalless draw.

Towards the end of the first half, Zenit goalkeeper Daniil Odoevsky committed a foul of last hope on Sadulaev, receiving a direct red card. Sergei Semak was forced to remove Andrei Mostovoy from the game, releasing Mikhail Kerzhakov instead. In the 60th minute, Claudinho was injured, Zelimkhan Bakaev appeared on the field instead.

Zenit scored eight points and remained in third position in the standings. Akhmat is in eighth position with five points.

The match “Akhmat” – “Zenith” was served by a team of referees headed by Sergei Ivanov from Rostov-on-Don. He was assisted by Varanzo Petrosyan (Rostov-on-Don) and Konstantin Shalamberidze (Moscow). The reserve judge was Maxim Perezva (Ramenskoye). Anatoly Zhabchenko (Krasnodar) acted as the VAR referee, Ekaterina Kurochkina (Malakhovka) acted as his assistant.
