The Joint Coordinating Center (JCC) has authorized the passage of five new vessels through the Maritime Humanitarian Corridor as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. It is also indicated that the ships will leave Chernomorsk and Odessa and will carry 161,084 tons of food.
On July 22, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN signed an agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain. The ceremony in Istanbul was attended by UN Secretary General António Guterres, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov. The contract is valid for 120 days with the possibility of extension.
