Criminal hunts with a neo-noir flair

In The Precinct you slip into the shoes of Officer Nick Cordell Jr., who has just come out of the police academy and now has to protect the residents of Averno City. Throughout the story you will get to know the city’s major criminal gangs, discover their secrets and influence them. You could also uncover the mystery surrounding your father’s death – maybe it’s all connected?

The special thing about The Precinct is that, in addition to the story, it is also a sandbox game in which you patrol the streets and have to respond to emergency calls. Similar to the GTA series, Averno City is a lively city where crimes can happen at any moment – take care of burglaries, murders or drug crimes. Parts of the environment are destructible, and eventually you can call in other police officers and patrol cars to help you.

In the comments on Steam, The Precinct is primarily compared to the older GTA parts. The players there are 90 percent positive about the game – only bugs and a few problems with the AI are criticized.

The Precinct was released on May 13, 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
