Uncovering a 100% New Secret Ending in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Defying the Fog

Although Dragon's Dogma 2 has only been out for a few days, that hasn't stopped players from finishing it, even at 100%. Some people then took it upon themselves to dissect it in every direction, looking for the slightest secret or hidden detail, until a Reddit user claims to have discovered a secret ending.

Beyond the fog

During the last hours of the “real” end of Dragon's Dogma 2 (when you stab the heart with the Divine Scourge on the dragon's back), the player is transported to a mysterious dimension called “World Left Behind”. It is in this world slowly eaten away by a red-tinted, and seemingly impenetrable, fog that one user claims to have found what appears to be a secret ending.

This is the Reddit user named Temporary-Class3803 who shared his discovery in a now-deleted post. In it, we saw the player manage, via various manipulations, to cross the fog safely. He explains that he found an area where Capcom had apparently forgot to code the killer feature of the latter, allowing you to walk around freely.

A well-filled void

In all likelihood, not much can be done once in the cloud. In fact, “The World Left Behind” is neither more nor less than a mirror of the classic game mapwhose fog gradually eats away at the infrastructure, leaving only emptiness behind it. Temporary-Class3803 recounts, for example, having tried to walk to the town of Melve without obtaining any results.

Despite everything, the latter continues his investigations and claims to have made surprising discoveries, notably various mysterious arches scattered here and there across the map. He then emphasizes that some of them only appear in this world, with no one to explain their interest. According to him and part of the community, they are hiding a secret, whether it is hints of a new ending, content for a next DLC or even entrances to future secret dungeons. The community is keeping its eyes glued to the issue, on the lookout for any information that could corroborate one of these theories or for an unexpected new surprise.
