Change of leadership at the Munich studio Travian Games: Viktor Pulz takes over the management from Frederik Hammes.
With 150 employees at its headquarters near Munich’s Olympic Park and at its Cologne-based subsidiary Bright Future (Rail Nation, Goal United), Travian Games is one of the ten largest employers in the German games industry. Specialty: Free2Play strategy games and economic simulations that can be played directly in the browser. The lion's share of the turnover of just under €17 million (financial year 2022) is driven by the online game Travian: Legends at.
Today, Travian Games GmbH announced a restructuring at the top of the company: Accordingly, Viktor Pulz has taken over the role of CEO – including the duties of the previous Managing Director and COO Frederik Hammes, who is leaving the game manufacturer after almost twelve years. Jörg Strathaus will continue to act as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will also join the management of Bright Future.
Pulz is no stranger, at least in the Bavarian games industry: After starting his career at the traditional Bamberg studio Upjers, he founded several startups – Crayon Games GmbH was taken over by Youre Family at the end of 2023.
