Patch 5.0 will be released for Total War: Warhammer 3 on April 30, 2024, which includes new, free content. Fans of the strategy game can then look forward to, among other things, a new commander with whom they can go into fantasy battles. We’ll tell you the most important new content below.
New general: Epidemius, Nurgle's steward
Epidemius is one of the seven overseers of the Pestilence. In the Warhammer lore, it is his responsibility to catalog the diseases unleashed by the chaos god Nurgle and record their effects. In the game, this background should also play a major role in the campaign.

This way you will be rewarded when illnesses afflict your opponents. The more factions languish, the more bonuses and unique abilities you unlock.
New Hero: Wizard of the Gold Order
The patch also includes a new hero. The wizards of the Gold Order support the troops of the Empire and primarily target the enemy's heavily armored units in battle.
New artifact: the Nemesis Crown
Once created by the Dwarves from warpstone, the Nemesis Crown, a powerful artifact, is now buried somewhere on the map at the start of each campaign.
Once you have found the crown, you can fight a battle to get possession of the artifact. You can then choose one of two options. Either you take the Nemesis Crown and receive powerful bonuses with it. Or you can bury the artifact again so that no one else comes into possession of it, at least for the time being.
Because the advantages that the crown brings with it have to be bought at a high price. You have to win battles within a certain period of time to unlock the next level of the crown. If you don't succeed, you lose the artifact.
Patch appears with new DLC
At the same time as the update, the new DLC Thrones of Decay will also be released on April 30, 2024, introducing three more legendary commanders for Chaos, the Empire and Dwarves. The DLC will cost 23 euros when released. The pricing policy for DLCs for games in the Total War series has recently caused enormous frustration among fans of the series. Creative Assembly promised improvement here soon.
