In the Spider-Verse series, Spider-Gwen has undoubtedly stood out as the most popular breakout character. It's no surprise that Sony Pictures has decided to dedicate its own film to Gwen Stacy. Spider-Gwen comes from an alternate universe where Gwen Stacy was bitten by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker.
In fan art, the character of Spider-Gwen is often depicted as Emma Stone or Hailee Steinfeld, as both actresses have played the role in previous Spider-Man films.
However, the role of Spider-Gwen is said to be intended for a teenager, which means that both actresses can already be ruled out. We remain curious to see whether the rumor turns out to be true and whether Sony will be able to get their live-action Spider-Verse back on track by introducing a Spider-Girl.
