No exact battery health
For about two months now, in addition to iPhones and iPads, Swappie also offers used and refurbished Airpods. But the headphones do not show the same clear battery health percentage as the phones, which means that Swappie takes other paths.

In general, you can save a lot of money by choosing a pair of used AirPods compared to buying new ones. Airpods Pro 3 costs SEK 3,000 new at Apple and Airpods 4 with noise reduction costs SEK 2,300. At Swappie, the corresponding price for Airpods 4 with noise reduction is SEK 1,600, while Airpods Pro 3 is not available at Swappie. In contrast, with competitor Refurbed for SEK 2,565. Swappie instead offers the older Airpods Pro 2 for SEK 1,900, headphones that can be found new for SEK 2,300 but which Apple no longer sells.

When Swappie sells used Airpods, they are quality checked before sale, but unlike telephones, the headphones do not report an exact battery status. Therefore, Mobil has asked Swappie questions about the company’s Airpods sales.
What level of battery health do you guarantee on Swappie for Airpods?
Battery performance is checked as part of our quality process, and devices must meet functional requirements for daily use. Since Airpods do not show a clear battery health percentage like smartphones do, customers can expect a performance in line with normal use, for example up to about 6 hours of listening time and up to 30 hours with the charging case, depending on the model. All purchases are covered by Swappy’s quality guarantee, warranty and return policy.
Do you replace the battery if it doesn’t measure up and if so is it a particular challenge with Airpods?
Airpods are compact devices where battery replacement is not standard in the industry. At Swappie, we focus on quality control and ensure that each device meets our performance requirements before being approved for sale. If a device does not meet these requirements, it will not pass our quality control. All units must meet Swappy’s quality requirements in order to be sold. If a product does not meet these requirements, it will not be approved for resale via Swappie.
I assume the silicone plugs are brand new?
Yes, for reasons of hygiene and customer experience, the earplugs are replaced, so that customers receive a clean and finished product ready to use.
