Just in time for the start of autumn, horror films are once again playing a role in the headlines. After all, there's hardly a better time of year to promote spooky projects on the big or small screen. From time to time we report on the production of sometimes more and sometimes less successful films.
The last ones were about the new edition of Speak No Evil or that Demi Moore's comeback in The Substance in focus. But it is the return of a classic that has now become firmly established in the reporting.
When did Scream come to the cinema?
Scream was originally released in cinemas in Germany on October 30, 1997. Almost a year earlier, the horror film written by Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson had made its debut in US cinemas. The once imaginative horror hit has now become a six-part film series.
Part 7 has already caused inglorious reports. Jenna Ortega, for her part, is currently through Projects like Wednesday or Beetlejuice Beetlejuice present, will not be seen in the latest film.
Melissa Barrera also had allegations of anti-Semitism catapulted out of her leading role. At the end of last year, she described Israel's military actions as genocide and compared the situation in Gaza to concentration camps. The actress would later distance herself from anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.
In addition, Christopher Landon left the project as director. After all these reports, it seems as if the timetable is heading towards release again. A date has finally been announced for exactly this.
