Grand Theft Auto 6 is getting closer, but where is the third trailer? Another year has passed since trailer 2, but developer Rockstar simply doesn’t want to reveal any new information about the open-world giant. A resourceful fan now questions the planets and comes up with a surprisingly concrete answer.
GTA 6: The Planets reveal when the next trailer will appear
Reddit user JalapenoPoppers24 looked at the last 26 Rockstar reveals. This includes every trailer and gameplay video from Grand Theft Auto 4 onwards. He then calculated “the geocentric ecliptic longitudes of all 9 classic celestial bodies” in all of these releases.
What follows are some commonalities about which planets are related to which constellations, which might sound pretty confusing to most. Based on the similarities between the two GTA 6 trailers and the current planetary orbits, he wants to be able to calculate that the third trailer will be exactly on May 14th at 5 p.m will appear.
First the moon, now the planets
It may sound crazy, but this isn’t the first time GTA fans have been asking celestial bodies about the next trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. In November 2024, many players were convinced that the moon phase would reveal the next date in a Rockstar tweet.
However, the theories assume that Rockstar itself is interested in the paths of the planets. However, the patterns between different trailer dates mostly have secular backgrounds. For example, publisher Take-Two’s next earnings call will take place on May 21st. A new trailer around this date could make investors happy.
Ultimately, only Rockstar and Take-Two know when the trailer will appear. If you still want to put your trust in the planets, you can mark May 14th in your calendar. Anticipation and hype don’t hurt either.
