There are two technical previews of Halo Infinite this weekend and next

In a extensive blog post on Halo Waypoint 343 Industries explains the details. The 4v4 Arena mode will be tested on the first weekend starting this Thursday. During that time, anyone can play in the Training and Weapon Drills modes, try out the Battle Pass and customize their character, but online matchmaking is only available on a regular basis, namely:

  • Friday, September 24 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m
  • Saturday, September 25 from 02:00 to 06:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00
  • Sunday, September 26 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m
  • Monday, September 27 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.

The second weekend will test the Big Team Battle (12v12) and 4v4 Arena modes. Like the weekend before, everyone can train and explore all kinds of features throughout the weekend, but the online matchmaking is only available at specific times:

  • Friday, October 1, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Saturday, October 2 from 2:00 am to 6:00 am and from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm
  • Sunday October 3rd from 2:00 am to 6:00 am and from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm
  • Monday, October 4 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.

All Halo Insiders with an account approved before September 13 can participate in the technical previews. The Training mode offers players a kind of sandbox world where players can fight against bots and customize all settings to their liking.

Halo Infinite is out December 8 for Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC. The multiplayer will be free-to-play.
