The Witcher 3 REDkit is now available for PC!
On May 21st (Tuesday), CD PROJEKT RED began distributing The Witcher 3 REDkit, a MOD production tool for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, for PC. This tool, which provides a number of features used by the developers of The Witcher 3, is available for free download to owners of the original PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The Witcher 3 REDkit, developed and provided by CD PROJEKT RED in collaboration with Yigsoft, has been released after a successful beta test with over 18,000 testers. If you own the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you can download it for free from GOG, Epic Games Store, and Steam. In addition to the many features of the tool itself, it is integrated with Steam Workshop, making it easy for mod creators to publish their mods and for mod users to use mods casually. The REDengine 3 codebase has been expanded and reworked to meet the needs of modders, giving them unprecedented freedom to customize in-game elements. The trailer released at the same time as the launch introduces the main features of this tool.

To help modders, we have a tutorial on installing the tool for the first time, an overview of basic functionality, a series of tutorial videos that will be released in the future, and a guide to publishing mods (in English).
We will also be releasing a video interview with CD PROJEKT RED developers about their experiences with REDkit and MODs soon. Narrative Director Philip Webel, Expert Quest Designer Danis Markiewicz, and Lead Quest Designer Błaže Augustinek share stories about how they started their game development careers as mod creators, as well as their past mods and tools. Each of them will share their views on the opportunities that can be obtained through this process.
