General Director of the tour operator “Dolphin” Romashkin warned about the shortage of places in hotels in Sochi
Russian tourists were warned about the shortage of places in hotels in Sochi and Abkhazia in the current summer season. This is reported RIA News.
So, the general director of the tour operator “Dolphin” Sergey Romashkin urged travelers to hurry up with the choice of a hotel for vacation. “There are still places everywhere, but a number of popular hotels, say, in Sochi, are booked until the end of summer,” he said.
Representatives of the Russian Express company confirmed this information – if in Sochi you can still find free rooms in July and August due to the large number of rooms, then in Abkhazia there are very few options available.
According to Romashkin, the top five destinations are Krasnodar Territory (38 percent of all bookings), Abkhazia (18 percent), Crimea (nine percent), St. Petersburg (six percent) and Caucasian Mineral Waters (3.5 percent).
It is also noted that this year the depth of sales of tours is less compared to last year – most often tourists book tours 10-14 days before the trip.
Earlier, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported that the Russians had sold out almost places in all-inclusive hotels in Sochi – many hotels were 100 percent occupied until the end of the season. The last available places for July and August can be found at the Atelika Sokol, Prometheus and Bridge Resort hotels.
