The Release of an Exciting New Game from a Beloved Franchise

The first Xbox Game Pass game for May 2024 is here and it's no laughing matter. Microsoft called on a true video game icon to get things started in the best way possible.

The latest Xbox Game Pass games allowed subscribers to get their hands on the action-RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and the strategy game Manor Lords. Two video game releases from April 2024 which were highly anticipated. This month, Microsoft will literally bring out the heavy artillery with a highly coveted Xbox Series X|S and PC exclusive, Hellblade 2. A Ninja Theory production which will be available upon release in the XGP subscription. But it is another heroine who is temporarily in the spotlight today. Ready to go on an adventure?

Adventure for the first Xbox Game Pass game from May 2024

The service has just welcomed Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. The PS4 and Xbox One version of the franchise reboot released in 2013. In addition to graphical improvements, this edition stands out for its content. It includes the base game, the Tomb of the Lost Adventurer DLC and eight maps for multiplayer. But also additional weapons and characters, as well as additional outfits for Lara Croft. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is available on Xbox Game Pass Console, PC and via xCloud.

This adventure looks back at the origins of an adventurer who is not yet the seasoned Lara Croft that everyone knows. Even though she liquidates dozens and dozens of enemies throughout her journey to find her way. If you're looking for an old-fashioned episode, you'll probably be confused. On the other hand, if you are expecting an action game like Uncharted, but in Tomb Raider mode, you will be served. Although there may have been debates about the direction taken, Tomb Raider 2013 remains a very popular episode. With this addition, the entire new trilogy is now in Xbox Game Pass. Indeed, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the two following opuses, are still in the service.
