After End of the Early Access phase Unfortunately, it was initially unclear when the survival title “7 Days to Die” will also be released for the current generation consoles.

The developers of The Fun Pimps have now clarified this via X (formerly Twitter). As the studio announced, verification on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S was successfully completed. This means that nothing stands in the way of an imminent release for the consoles.

But when will it be? Fortunately, it will be this week. The Fun Pimps confirmed next Thursday, July 25, 2024 as the release date for “7 Days to Die” for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The fight for survival

In “7 Days to Die” the path leads to a post-apocalyptic world that has been overrun by the undead. To survive in this world, players use hundreds of recipes and blueprints to craft weapons, armor, tools, vehicles and more. The resources needed for this can be found everywhere in the game world.

With 800 items, more than 1,300 building blocks and a painting system that offers endless possibilities, there are no limits to your creativity. Another important factor is the construction of your own base, which will act as a hub for future operations.

“Equip your fort with traps, electricity, automatic towers and devices to survive in the fully destructible and malleable world,” say the developers. As you fight for your survival in the world of “7 Days to Die,” you regularly learn new skills or improve existing ones.

Not only are there numerous NPCs such as traders waiting for you in the game world, but there are also almost 60 types of zombies with individual behaviors that are out to kill you.

Developers promise an entertaining genre mix

“The open-world game uniquely combines first-person shooter, survival horror, tower defense and role-playing. It offers combat, item crafting, looting, mining, exploration and character development in a way that has been enthusiastically received by fans around the world,” said the official description further.

Like other games of this kind, “7 Days to Die” will of course be supported with updates and new content in the long term. However, The Fun Pimps has not yet published a concrete timetable or a suitable roadmap.

The studio would like to submit these in due course.
