So fans of the first part released in 2019 will finally receive new challenges. “Slay the Spire” achieved an average rating of 89 points and is generally considered one of the best indie games of recent years.

New challenges for all Slayers

But first let’s get to the basis of “Slay the Spire 2”. Accordingly, civilization had to wait 1,000 years before the gates of the Spire were reopened. Players will meet friends and enemies as they fight their way to the top of the Spire.

Of course, the developers can't reveal too many details yet as early access doesn't start until the next calendar year. However, you should be able to look forward to new Slayers with their own card sets, mechanics and personalities.

Completely new enemies, events and treasures will await you in the Spire, with the rooms and objects changing every time you play. This means you can try out risky builds or take the “safe” option. In the end, the bosses will always decide whether your build is good enough.

In addition, the developers have promised new ways to play. The details are still being kept to yourself. However, “Slay the Spire 2” has been completely reprogrammed in a new engine in order to introduce modern features and build new graphics. The modding community should also be given further options.

Finally, we would like to thank the community again for Early Access. This played a massive part in the success and development of the first part. And for all the support, they want to enable the players to once again have an influence on the new part.

To give us a first impression of “Slay the Spire 2”, the developers have also released an official announcement trailer.
