Before his starting signal was given the sci-fi project Rebel Moon again and again star Wars been associated. They wanted to release two films on Netflix, with Zack Snyder as the head of the project. But a look at the ratings for both films doesn't paint a very rosy picture.
Neither Part 1: Child of Fire nor Part 2: The Scar Maker could shine in the reviews. A third film still seems to be in the starting blocks, not least thanks to the great attention that both projects were able to generate. Because Rebel Moon was definitely convincing in the Netflix charts.

What does Zack Snyder do next?
Away from the discussions surrounding Rebel Moon, Zack Snyder is of course working on other projects. At times there were even discussions about one Return to the DC cosmos given.
With James Gunn and Peter Safran as the new ones Dual leadership of the so-called DC Studios sparked rumors of a Snyder comeback. He had just caused discussions in fan circles with his interpretation of the Justice League. With the Snyderverse we can but no longer expected in the future.

Instead, the filmmaker is currently working on an animated series. Like Rebel Moon, this should appear on Netflix. Publication is scheduled for fall 2024.

IGN emphasizes that the project was first presented in 2019. However, we don't know an exact release date for the series. In June, the project will be presented at the 2024 Annecy Festival alongside numerous other productions. Perhaps the potential success of Twilight of the Gods is already apparent here.
