While the publisher continues to hold back on providing concrete information about the platform, a leaker wants to know more. As “xj0nathan” reports, Ubisoft will rely on a subscription model for “Assassin’s Creed Infinity”. This is intended to cover monthly costs of an unspecified amount.

In addition to access to the “Infinity” platform itself, the subscription includes various digital content such as older “Assassin’s Creed” games.

Classics, DLC and more?

Regarding the content that the “Assassin's Creed Infinity” platform will offer us, the leaker stated: “If what I was told is true, Assassin's Creed Infinity will have a strong focus on microtransactions in the future. With a monthly subscription (a bit like GamePass) that gives access to all old AC games. I’m not sure about the new ones.”

“DLCs, one exclusive skin/item per month and so on. It wouldn't be surprising considering how much Ubisoft made from most paid skins on Odyssey and Valhalla. But that would be even worse…” said “xj0nathan” in a recent tweet.

However, the leaker did not reveal where he got his information from. Therefore, the information should of course be viewed with the necessary caution until an official announcement from Ubisoft.

When will official details about Infinity follow?

So far, Ubisoft has left it open as to when we can expect the official reveal of “Assassin's Creed Infinity” or further details about the upcoming community HUB. It would be conceivable that this would happen in just a few weeks.

As well-known insider Tom Henderson recently reported, the publisher will be the next “Ubisoft Forward” edition for a gameplay presentation from “Assassin’s Creed Red”.

It would be conceivable that Ubisoft would also give us a first look at “Assassin's Creed Infinity” as part of the whole thing. Then we may also find out whether the rumors about the setting of the platform correspond to the facts.

According to the rumor mill, the developers should offer us a modern story hub. New “Assassin's Creed” spin-offs will focus more on the historical aspects for which the franchise is famous.

The next “Ubisoft Forward” edition will take place on June 10, 2024.
