After passing from hand to hand without ever starting filming, it ended up being forgotten. It was only around 2018 that a boost from Netflix and Greta Gerwig (Barbie) came to set things right.

Good news ! According to the director herselffilming should begin Soon ; at the earliest August 2024 or early 2025. At present, we have very little information about this new project. No release date, no casting and no storyline have yet been announced. Since this production has been described as a reboot of the franchise, we don't even know which volumes will be used. It is possible that she readapts volume 1: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. In any case, this new project promises a lot and seems to please Netflix, which has already ordered two films. However, the streaming service owns the rights to all of the books, leading us to believe that we will finally see the entire Narnia franchise on our screens. It will certainly be necessary wait until 2026 to start seeing it.
