At present, the situation in correctional colony No. 2 in Kalmykia, where prisoners attacked employees, can be assessed as being under control. This was stated in the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the republic, commenting on the incident, reports TASS.
“Officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Kalmykia, the investigative committee and the prosecutor’s office arrived at the scene. The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the republic is conducting an internal audit, ”the department said.
The attack of two convicts on the workers of the Kalmyk colony took place on the evening of Friday, August 5. Men armed with sharpeners and fittings attacked the employees of the IK. As a result, one of them died on the spot, seven more received injuries of varying severity.
In fact, a criminal case was initiated under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
