Gen V – the spin-off to the Amazon series The Boys – was overshadowed by a tragic death: the 27-year-old main actor died in March 2024 Chance Perdomo killed in a motorcycle accident. As a result, production of season 2 was stopped in the meantime.

This is what continues with Gen V: Season 2

Now there is a new update from the series creators and initial information about when and how Gen V will continue. It was officially announced on social media that production on Season 2 will resume in May 2024. Originally it should have happened in April.

Additionally, Chance Perdomo's role as Andre Anderson will not be recast. This decision is justified by the fact that no one can replace Chance. This means that his character is likely to be written out of Gen V, which has apparently already happened: According to the social media post, the story for Season 2 has already been revised.
