With less than two months to go until the release of the highly anticipated Age of Mythology: Retold, World's Edge will offer some players the opportunity to discover the game early through a closed beta that will take place this weekend.

All players who pre-ordered the Premium Edition of Age of Mythology Retold will be able to help the development studio shape the return of the cult strategy game from 2002. Indeed, World's Edge hopes to gather the community's opinions to offer an optimal gaming experience next September.
The closed beta will begin this Friday, July 12th at 7:00 p.m. and will end on Monday, July 15th at 8:59 a.m. Paris time.
Closed Beta Content
- Learn the basics by playing the tutorial and continue to develop your skills by discovering the main campaign with the first 5 missions of the Trident's Fall campaign.
- Access to skirmishes and multiplayer in a standard map pool that offers great variety. Multiplayer limited to 8 players for the closed beta.
- Ability to play with three of the four pantheons: Greek, Norse, and Egyptian.
Although it is obviously not mandatory, the studio hopes that players will give them feedback on the game's systems, bugs or even balancing.
The beta will not be subject to a non-disclosure agreement, which means that all strategists will be able to share their games! Also note that it will not be necessary to be a member Age Insider to take advantage of it, but simply to have pre-ordered the Premium Edition of the game.
It's not yet clear whether simply pre-ordering the Premium upgrade will grant access to the closed beta.
Age of Mythology: Retold will be available starting September 4, 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and via Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. You can even enjoy it a few days early thanks to the early access included in the Premium Edition.
As with previous big Xbox games, there is an upgrade to the Premium Edition, allowing Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers to enjoy the benefits at a lower cost. Two expansions are included in this edition.
