According to 333Studios, the developer of “Retrieval,” the game on PS5 Pro offers “sharper resolution and smoother gameplay.”
The title should not least from PSSR technology which enables sharper graphics, more detailed environments, and improved ray tracing reflections.
Players can also expect higher and more stable frame rates, which should ensure more responsive controls and an overall smoother gaming experience.

- Higher frame rates: The PS5 Pro allows Retrieval to run at higher, more stable frame rates, ensuring smoother gameplay and more responsive controls.
A direct screenshot comparison between the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions of the game was also released. Although differences can be seen, they are rather minor, which is probably due in no small part to the dark scene (PNG version with 1.18 MB).
Retrieval shows itself in the trailer
“Retrieval” takes place on a distant planet, where the main character Hana Loshe is stranded in an abandoned and futuristic subway base. There she has to face various dangers and uncover numerous secrets. The game's atmosphere is very reminiscent of “Dead Space”.
“Retrieval,” which was already announced at Gamescom 2023, received a new trailer at Gamescom 2024. It gives a glimpse of the graphic effects, including Nvidia RTX Direct Illumination technology, which will only be available on PC.
“Retrieval” will be released for the Xbox Series X/S as well as the PS5 and PC. An official release date is not known. The title can be purchased in the PlayStation Store be put on the wish list.
