On February 21, 2023, Jigglypuff will be waiting in the new spotlight hour in Pokémon GO, plus there will be more experience and a good shiny chance as a bonus.

Update from 02/21/23, 9 a.m.: This Tuesday, Pummel is the focus of Pokémon GO just in time for the carnival. From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the iconic singing wonder will appear throughout the wild game. You can easily catch enough specimens during the spotlight hour to evolve Wigglytuff. By the way, both Pokémon got the strong fairy type in addition to their normal type.

In addition, today’s Spotlight Hour will lure you with a bonus to XP: for catching Pokémon you will receive double experience. There is also a high probability that you can secure a rare Shiny Jigglypuff, which could be an incentive for collectors to attend today’s mini-event. Note the shiny green eyes. Wigglytuff can excel in PvP in Super League, but both Pokémon are useless in raids. In the article we show you all the following spotlight hours and bonuses for February 2023.

Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hours February 2023 – All hours and bonuses at a glance

What is the spotlight hour? Spotlight Hour is a weekly small event. Every Tuesday evening, one Pokémon is the focus of Pokémon GO for one hour, which appears particularly frequently on the world map from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. So if you want to farm a specific monster in Pokémon GO, you should take part in the event. Wednesday is always the raid hour.

Each Spotlight Hour comes with different bonuses that make the event interesting—even if you already own the Pokémon. Spotlight hours are often a good way to get Stardust, which you need to evolve your Pokémon and secure a rare Shiny in Pokémon GO.

These are the dates in February 2022: In our overview, we have listed all the dates of the spotlight hour in February 2023 in Pokémon GO so that you are always informed and do not miss any of the events. The limelight hours always take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (* = all Pokemon can be Shiny)

Datum Pokémon Bonus
February 7, 2023 Taubs* 2x Development XP
14 February 2023 Fleknoil* 2x Stardust

Pokémon GO: Spotlight hour on February 7th Taubsi at a glance

Is the spotlight with Taubsi worth it? The limelight hour with Taubebsi (type: normal + flight) gives you twice the amount of experience points for many encounters with the little bird when developing. This is especially useful when trying to quickly gain experience points to level up as a trainer. By the way, the double XP applies to all developments, not just those of Taubsi.

Taubsi is anything but rare and can of course be shiny for a long time. The Gen 1 Pokemon is in play forever. But deaf boss is quite strong in PvP and as a mega deaf boss is also a good choice as a flight attacker in raids. If you don’t want to farm experience points, you can safely skip the first spotlight hour in February 2023 in Pokémon GO if you’ve already caught a lot of Taubebsis in your trainer career.

Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 14, 2023 with Fleknoil at a glance

Is Fleknoil worth the limelight hour? Fleknoil (Type: Psycho + Flight) honors Valentine’s Day and becomes the focus of the game for an hour. Fleknoil and its development Fletiamo are from Gen 5 and you have good shiny chances. As a bonus, you’ll get twice the amount of Stardust during the event – you can even increase this with a Star Piece.

Fleknoil and the development Fletiamo play no role in PvP and unfortunately they are not really strong attackers either. You skip the second spotlight hour in February 2023 at Pokémon GO if you already have a rare Shiny. However, if you want to fill your pockets with stardust, you get a good chance here.

Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 21, 2023 with Jigglypuff at a glance

Is the limelight hour with Jigglypuff worth it? The iconic Jigglypuff (Type: Normal + Fairy) is known to many from Gen 1, but later it got the Fairy type on top. The well-rounded vocal miracle or its further development Knuddeluff is not rare, but it can be shiny. The bonus on February 21 is double the amount of experience points when catching Pokémon.

Wigglytuff is fine in the PvP Super League, but it and Jigglypuff are irrelevant in raids. If you don’t have a Shiny yet, you’re welcome to join. If you make full use of the hour, you can quickly gain experience, otherwise the limelight hour with Jigglypuff is hardly worth it.

Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 28, 2023 with Bummelz at a Glance

Is the limelight hour with Bummelz worth it? The always tired Bummelz (Type: Normal) can evolve into Muntier and Letarking. All three Pokémon are from Gen 3 and have been caught before – and they can also be shiny. In the Spotlight Hour, you will receive double catch candies as a bonus – so the development is practically a gift.

Muntier is a popular play in PvP Super League, especially with counterattacks. As an attacker in raids, the developments of Bummelz play no role. Letarking has an enormously high CP value, which is nice to brag about – but the Pokémon only has real power on paper.

What events are currently running in Pokémon GO? Even if the limelight hours in the month are hardly worthwhile, really juicy events await the trainers in February 2023. Valentine’s Day is going to be cheesy romantic, but comes with 3 strong bonuses. In addition, the Rocket takeover is still ongoing and brings Giovanni with a new crypto legend. Later this month, Rayquaza is coming with a new move for free, kicking off the highlight, the Hoenn Tour, with the new best attackers in Pokémon GO.
