Noise -reducing true wireless
Sony has improved its compact intermediate price in most areas, but still has difficulty keeping up with the competition.

The Sony WF-C710N is a pair of True Wireless headphones for SEK 1500. They replace Sony's C700N that has won several awards. The new headset has new design, better battery life, better noise reduction and improvements in the conversation sound among other things.
The etuiet is rounded and decent compact and the headset is available in four colors where the blue is worthy of mentioned specifically because it is translucent so that you see what the headset and case look like inside.
The first thing you need to do is choose the right size of rubber pups for the earbuds. There are only three sizes and Sony has not taken on the development of oval or otherwise fit rubber pups, so I find it difficult to find a couple that closes tightly and sits comfortably. I have to settle for them closing tightly but are not so comfortable and slip out lightly.
The headset can be connected to two units at the same time, which is why I estimate that there is a button on the etuiet that facilitates the jumping. Not all headsets have.
The music sound in the headset is really good for the price, with a clear and strong base that does not feel smeared. Unfortunately, support for Sony's Ldac standard for high-resolution music sounds is lacking.
Weak ANC
The noise reduction, on the other hand, is a clear disappointment. This is an area of Sony is unequal. Sure, I know that Sony does not have its best noise reduction in this price range, but here I really have to make an effort to perceive the difference between the noise reduction and turned on. Most clearly I notice it if I sit on a noisy bus. Then the noise disappears in intermediate frequency, but not the dull noise or treble noise. The feeling of quiet room does not appear.
Sony's app has been given a good looking and it is now easier to find and understand the features of it. For example, I like that here I can see what two units the headset has a connection to, and that I can choose a custom equalizer by listening to my own music and then choosing between different options I think sounds best to me.

The headset has a battery life of 8.5 hours with noise reduction of or 12.5 hours without noise reduction, which is excellent. I do not charge the case many times during the test period. The headset also charges faster than its predecessor, so that five minutes of charging gives an hour's playing time.
The call sound may be said to be average. I am clearly heard when I talk, at least if I am in a calm environment, but it is also heard that I talk in a headset because I sound a little more more more be more restrained. On the plus side, the headset is better than the average of handling wind noise if I am outdoors and talk and it is windy.
As a whole, the Sony WF-C710N is a headset that does not really manage to stand out for its price tag. With better adapted rubber pups and clearer noise reduction it could have been really good. Sony may make sure to increase the tempo if they are to keep up.
